Border Co. began as a home for assorted travel writings and as a platform to build partnerships with makers, creating products ideally suited for long trips across the highways of the US.

After much soul searching, Border Co. abandoned the idea of developing products, deciding that the overconsumption running rampant across much of the world was too damaging to play a part in. There are many excellent independent makers out there. Seek them out. Support them. Purchase slowly. The decision to focus solely on exploratory writing is outlined in the essay Breaking the Habit.
