We’re at the start of it. I am He. She is Her. For now. Before we merge and form anew.
Locked away in the house together, where the world can’t reach us, my body sheds its old skin. A redundant epidermis that softens and sloughs off upon her nakedness. My weight bears down. Entwines with her.
Our secretions mix, a slick film between us as parts of me glisten into her. Tongues probe and share saliva. Cells combine and blur. My penis recedes between us as the distance melts and she opens. Her hood peels as a new engorged organ explores the air. A minaret rising from a thatch of curled hair, calling me to prayer.
I pass my pollen into her. Her fresh stigma receives. My old shadow now shrinking in the dim light. She’s a vessel that will take me on. Make me a form I could never be without her.
We’re in the middle now. Our bodies are neither one of us.
My marrow, softened, sinks through her skin without resistance. Her arms wrap me, shrinking. She pulls me tightly, through her bones and sinew. The wet pop and crunch of my matter melting into hers as parts of her now spread into me at this shared insertion. Dark viscera. A meld of rich jelly as her fingernails dig deep around withered muscle, which seeps between her grip. Sinking down deeper into her. To her center. The womb and birth arrive as one. Chromosomes split and merge into new, blossoming skin as she lies there. A morphed organism.
He and She are gone now. Our two parts combined. Now Us.
We secrete a new scent. A rich perfume that imbues every corner of our space.
We stand and see one shadow. Male and female together in bloom.
